Connor Steer debuted in the GPGSL in season 5, under the name Mirko Vukcevic from Montenegro. He immediately signed for Christel VXR as a tester for when they started in season 6, then was loaned out to Snake Motorsports for the rest of season 5, in order to gain experience. His first session was in Adelaide for round 13. He started season 6 still under the name Mirko Vukcevic, but soon changed to his real name Connor Steer, after discovering his real name and nationality on a tv show. His helmet stayed the same in tribute to his montenegrin grand parents. He has participated in every race as a tester for Christel VXR, apart from one race in Hungary where he featured as a race driver, Chris Copeman stating "activity issues" for the one race switch with Juliano Muller. He was given the nickname Connor "can't" Steer or Cannot Steer due to his lack of good tester pace.
